ALAN DOUGLAS ESTATE
During 2018, I made several trips to the estate of the late Alan Douglas. Initially, my intent was to collect and preserve Alan's collection of early test equipment, merging it with my own collection, and forming a museum. This website is the first effort in that regard.
Subsequent trips (there was far too much to move in one load), and discussions with Alan's brother who is the executor of the estate, indicated that there was probably not going to be a good outlet for Alan's vast accumulation of parts for early radio, shortwave, and just plain experimenting. So I decided to bring those back as well, and offer them up for, initially, ARF members.
I may expand this to include the general public at some point, but I think Alan would have appreciated his stuff going to those with whom he spent so much time online, and in some cases, in person. Sadly, I was not one of those, having discovered ARF, and Alan's work, well after his passing.
That's the basic history of this website sales' pages. I'll update this with more history as time allows. It is my intention to post up as much of Alan's book research as I am able, having recovered all of that from the estate as well. I will share it with all interested, in coming pages here and at no charge to anyone.
